Arrival at site
Access/ egress to all sites must be by a pre-planned route or by the client's instruction.
All certification / qualification for the vehicle and crew are available for inspection.
Before any activity on site, a site-specific risk assessment will be prepared, all live personnel will be made aware of the content/ signed in to it.
Whilst on site hazard lights / roof beacons will be active.
All reversing will be under the supervision of a trained banksman.

Installation
Barriers loaded onto a flat bed vehicle for installation, the same process is followed when using a forklift truck with 2m extension forks.
Method 1 The installation crew lift the barriers off in pairs
The second barrier is connected to the first
Crew removing the banding prior to installation this applies to all types of vehicles
At the start of the section of barriers the first crew member places the barriers along the line of demarcation.
The installation process is repeated until com lete

Method 2 The banding is removed as in option 1 prior to installation
Any crewmember working on the rear of the vehicle is connected to the delta rings with a fixed length lanyard.
An anchor strap is fitted to the vehicle unless delta rings are fitted to ensure safe working at heiQhts
The barriers will passed to the crew on the ground one at a time and the vehicle will move down the line of barriers at crawling pace.

Every other barrier will come off the vehicle upside-down.
The crewmembers join the barriers as they place them in the line. This is repeated until the barrier line is complete

Recovery
Method 1 Two barriers are unclipped and one turned over and placed along side the other
The barriers are placed on the bed of the 7.5 tonne vehicle with the barrier the correct way
