Meteorite

emergency!

One night when everyone was asleep a giant

meteorite fell through the sky and landed in the sea

with an enormous splash. It made an earthquake and

woke everyone up.

It made a big

wave as well but

luckily there

wasn’t anyone on

the beach because

it was night time.

Nobody knew what had

happened because the

meteorite was under the sea.

But the meteorite had

pushed earth from its

proper orbit, and made it go

too close to the sun.

The next day it was hot.

Very hot. Too hot!

Everyone was really hot. Nobody knew what to do.

Luckily, some aliens were having breakfast in space

in their space ship nearby. They had been running

away from the meteorite. Their space ship was a

giant space tow truck, so in the middle of the next

night they pulled the meteorite out of the sea and

put it back into space.

Then they attached their towing hook to a big tower

on planet earth and pulled earth back into the right

place in space. When everyone woke up, it wasn’t too

hot any more, but the tower was leaning over!

The aliens asked nicely if they could

stay on earth because it was such a

nice planet. Everyone was so happy

that the aliens had saved the world

that they said “yes!”

The tower stayed leaning, but nobody

minded. Everyone lived happily ever after.
