THE METARTEC PICO 650
The Metartec PICO 650 is the ideal UPS unit for supporting your domestic PC and MAC.
The PICO 650 is a compact line-interactive UPS which has an excellent built-in microprocessor controller, designed for fast response to power disturbances.
The PICO 650 provides a simulated sine wave incorporating boost and buck voltage stabilization which will maintain regulated nominal output without using battery power during brownouts and over voltages from 162-290V.
Other functions include ‘Auto Restart’ after extended mains failure whilst AC/utility power supply is recovering and ‘Cold Start function’ means the PICO 650 can be started directly from battery without AC utility supply.
Metartec’s PICO 650 has a RS232 communication port and RJ-11 phone protection socket fi tted as standard.
The PICO 650 offers a transfer time of 2-6ms between utility supply failure and UPS back-up; offering complete load support with practically little to no system disruption.

Metartec’s DEKA is one of the most effi cient uninterruptible power supplies and is the most technologically advanced UPS in its class. It delivers an unbeatable combination of low input current distortion and unity power factor.
Metartec’s DEKA is designed with an IGBT rectifi er and an advanced PFC (Power Factor Control) keeping harmonic distortion at less than 3%.The On-Line Double Conversion Technology isolates output power from all the input anomalies, providing a clean output.
The parallel control system tightly manages both active and reactive type loads, allowing for intelligent load/current sharing between each individual phase.
Effi ciency - The use of DSP, IGBT and tricore technology ensures that the DEKA offers AC/AC effi ciency of 95%. This is typically around 10% to 15% better than the conventional UPS and provides savings of 2.8kW per hour on an 80kVA installation.
The IGBT (Isolated Gate Bipolar Transistors) rectifi er - allows the DEKA to provide less than 3% harmonic distortion. The main benefi t of this is that the generator can be downsized by as much as 50%. This may help the user fall outside the fi nancial penalty band that the EEC countries are currently considering.

Ideal for both industrial requirements and also large commercial projects - It has been designed to cope in the harshest environments, which is perfect for companies who use production line machinery, as it offers the ideal backup allowing a controlled shutdown on the machinery.
Unitary, Parallel or N+1- The DEKA is a true double conversion UPS and can also be confi gured and programmed to run as a frequency converter or in green mode as a line interactive system which further reduces energy costs. Up to eight machines can be connected in this way making the DEKA a fl exible and versatile solution.
To offset unavoidable battery decay, the DEKA incorporates a battery management system that is calibrated in accordance with most battery manufacturers’ specifi cations. The DEKA is suitable for almost any type of load accepting a power factor of either 0.9 leading or 0.9 lagging (many other manufacturers standard is 0.8pf).
