The MAX300-IGTM

Process Gas Analyzer representsthe latest in mass spectrometer and data systemtechnology. This seventh generation on-line processmass spectrometer was designed to meet the needs ofcustomers worldwide.

The MAX300-IG has been designed for reliable, continuousanalysis for use in humid, hot, and tough industrialenvironments, including hazardous locations.

u Demonstrated uptime of greater than 98% ensuresthat our customers realize the benefits of fast on-line analysis and process optimization.

u Continuous background diagnostics alert the user ofinstrument issues, and action is taken to maximizethe quality of the data being delivered.

Speed, sensitivity, stability, and precision are the fourcornerstones of successful process optimization and the meansfor maximizing ROI (Return on Investment). The MAX300-IGdelivers all four with great performance.

u Speed – The system provides sample analysis frommultiple points in your process or plant in typically 300 milliseconds per component. The number ofcomponents and points are not limited, and analysis time can be longer or shorter, depending on theprocess requirements.

u Sensitivity – Detection ranges are 100% to 10 ppm(parts per million) using a Faraday Plate, or 100% to10 ppb (parts per billion) using an Electronic Multiplier.

u Stability – This instrument has a 30 day stability of 0.5% RSD (Relative Standard Deviation), based on 1% Argon in air.

u Precision – The MAX300-IG has a precision of +/-0.0025 absolute, based on a 1% Argon concentration.

The MAX300-IG system has the speed and flexibility to handlethe most complex processes and the sensitivity and stability toimprove even the simplest.

Our customers report that Extrel’s process mass spectrometershave the lowest per analysis cost of ownership of any multi-component analyzer, and the MAX300-IG is no exception. And,now we’ve added another innovative feature for yourconvenience – A Disposable Dual-Filament IonizerAssembly.

The MAX300-IG is equipped with adisposable ionizer assembly with dualfilaments that can be replaced for aboutthe same cost of purchasing newfilaments. This eliminates the need ofcleaning the equipment. The assemblyhouses two filaments (one active andone spare) with automatic switch overand auto calibration.

For over 40 years, Extrel has been building lasting relationshipswith our customers who have come to rely on this partnership. We have the most experienced and competent service andsupport personnel in the industry, and only employ factory-trained and certified personnel. We are committed to providingthe highest quality support services as we support well over1,000 process and research instruments worldwide.

Spare Parts and Accessories: Allows customers to maintainand upgrade equipment with quality factory warranted parts.

Factory Repair Center: Provides quality factory warrantedrepairs as an economic alternative to new replacement spareparts.

The heart of the MAX300-IG system is the Questor™ 5 DataSystem. This software has been designed to provide secureaccess to your system and data, easy set-up, and automatedoperation. The QuestorTM 5 user interface is a web-basedapplication that gives the user access to all analyzer operationsand data in a familiar web page format.

The user interface is accessed using Internet Explorer 5.0browser or higher, and connection to the analyzer can be

directly from a workstation or from a plant network via astandard Ethernet or equivalent link.

A Sequencer function allows the system to run automatically, controlling sample selection, automated calibrations, andanalytical methods. Analyzer functions are triggered in arepeating loop, at a defined time, or in response to alarmsenabling a high level of automated operation.

Built-in Security features allow our customers to meetgovernment requirements for electronic records such as thosedefined in 21 CFR 11 The software provides multi-level securityallowing for different levels of access for different types ofusers.

The QuestorTM 5 software displays data in tabular and trendformats, which allows efficient access to the analytical data thatyou need. Component concentrations, intensities, and derivedvalues are just a few of the examples of information andinstrument status that the system can display.

At Extrel, we realize that every application has unique samplesystem requirements. We offer thewidest and most flexible array of inletsystems including solenoids and bothsmall and large internal diameterrotary valves. The MAX300-IG canhandle as many sample positions asneeded to optimize the application. Asan example, the 80 positionFASTvalveTM is ideally suited forapplications such as ambient air

monitoring which requires many sample points.

Industry Standard Communications include Ethernet,Bidirectional MODBUS+, OPC, analog and customcommunications.
