Issues relating to metadata production do occur in Dutch organisations.

The production of appropriate metadata for spatial data is a difficult, complicated process which requires a great deal of planning and expertise.
Organisations should be as clear as possible with regards to the choices made .
Orgware
Organisations should be aware of their production processes.
Organisations should be aware of the quality of their metadata.
Organisations should be aware of the needs of their personnel.
These issues impact the quality of the metadata being produced.
