A metasearch engine is a search tool that sends user requests to several other search engines and/or databases and aggregates the results into a single list.

Metacrawler was created in 1994

Metacrawler was created at the University of Washington.

Erik Selberg was the created and he implemented Metacrawler from 1994-2000.

• Metacrawler homepage also lists “Popular Searches”. I found this feature to be unique.

• Metacrawler has a very clean and spacious look to its homepage. This eliminates any confusion or feeling that the website is complicated.
