Parent-school relationships
Constant parental engagement in schoolwork and activities is essential for the positive achievement of teaching/educational outcomes. The aim of teachers is to establish a sound basis for real and consistent collaboration with families, compliant to the specifications set in the parent-school partnership. This is achieved by means of: · Class meetings, involving all parents and teaching staff · Year/section meetings, involving teaching staff and class
representatives · Weekly one-on-one meetings with teachers · Individual parent-teacher interviews
Facilities and equipment
School libraries: welcoming environments, designed to promote reading, research and inquisitiveness
Gym/sports halls: all schools have a gym/sports hall with all the equipment needed for sports and physical education. The school gardens allow the children to engage in free play outdoors.
Multimedia rooms: Internet connection in all classrooms, IT rooms, classrooms equipped with interactive whiteboards or screens.
Music and choir workshops Art workshops: graphic/pictorial, manual. Canteen for school meals
Services ABC: provides childcare before school hours in pre-school
and primary schools; it is activated with a minimum number of participants and its services are also available during class meetings.
Transport service for school trips where private transport has to be contracted.
School bus for the Spallanzani, Tintoretto and Goretti schools, sponsored by the Municipality of Venice.
School dinners provided by the Municipality of Venice
Support for differently-abled pupils provided by the Municipality of Venice.
Occupational health services and infant neuropsychiatry provided by the Local Health Board (ULSS 3).
The school premises are cleaned by an external company, Rekeep S.p.A., that works with the school’s staff.

Pre-school from Monday to Friday Starts between: 08.00-08.45 - Ends between: 15.45-
16.00 Primary school full time — 40 hours from Monday to Friday 08.15-16.15 'normal' time — 29.30 hours from Monday to Friday 08.15-12.45 with 2 afternoons a week from 12.45 to 16.15
Secondary school
6 day week: Monday to Saturday from 8:00 to 13:00
5 day week: Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 14:00
