ՐԱԳ MESSAGE OF FAITH

Jesus said "It is finished." With that, He bowed His head and gave up His Spirit.” - John 19:30

The word "finished" is the same as "paid in full ". Jesus came to finish God’s work of salvation, to pay the full penalty for our sins . With His death, the complex sacrificial system ended because Jesus took all sin upon himself . Now we can freely approach God because of what Jesus did for us. Those who believe in Jesus’ death and resurrection can live eternally with God and escape the penalty that comes from sin.

HOLY WEEK & EASTER SERVICES IN APRIL

Sunday 14 April: As we greeted Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem, we welcomed a large number of young families for the Children’s Blessing Day and Candle Procession on Palm Sunday.

Thursday 18 April: The Divine Liturgy was celebrated by His Eminence Archbishop Haigazoun Najarian in the morning in commemoration of the Last Supper which instituted the sacrament of Holy Communion. The Washing of the Feet service was held in the evening teaching us humility which Jesus demonstrated.

Saturday 20 April: Following Friday’s Crucifixion and Burial services, the Easter Eve Jrakalouyts Divine Liturgy saw the introduction of te Easter greeting: Christ is Risen. Blessed is the Resurrection of Christ.

Sunday 21 April: The Feast of the Glorious Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ is the pinnacle of our Christian faith when Christ, the True Light defeated darkness and conquered death.

Սուրբ Խաչի երևման տոնը Երուսաղեմում Սուրբ Խաչի նշանի երևման հիշատակն է: 351 թվականին` ցերեկվա ժամին, Գողգոթայից մինչև Ձիթենյայց լեռը երկնքում երևում է լուսե խաչ: Զարմանահրաշ այդ դեպքի մասին Երուսաղեմի Կյուրեղ եպիսկոպոսը նամակ է գրում Կ. Պոլսի Կոստանդ կայսերը՝ զարմանալի այդ երևույթը համարելով ուղղափառ դավանության ճշմարտության ապացույց: Այդ պատճառով էլ Կյուրեղ Երուսաղեմացին հորդորում է Կոստանդ կայսերը հրաժարվել արիոսականներին պաշտպանելուց:

Երուսաղեմի Կյուրեղ եպիսկոպոսի այդ նամակը թարգմանվել է հայերեն և ամեն տարի ընթերցվում է Ս. Խաչի երևման տոնին: Հայ Առաքելական Եկեղեցին Ս. Խաչի երևման տոնը նշում է Զատկից 28 օր հետո: Ս. Հարության տոնի շարժականության պատճառով Ս. Խաչի երևման տոնը կարող է տատանվել ապրիլի 19-ից մայիսի 23-ը:
