A STAFFED GODLY PLAY time takes place in Room 207 for ages 3 years through 3rd grade immediately after the “Children’s Time” portion of worship.

JUNIOR HIGH WORK DAY

We will be having a work day this coming Saturday, September 16th from 3 - 6 p.m. at the Wilcox’s. Bring a hammer and wear old clothes for staining. Pizza and snacks will be provided. If you have questions, please call Bob or Sherry at 810-358-9587.

SUNDAY EVENING STUDY SERIES

“Follow” is an eight week study by Andy Stanley. It will start September 17th at 6:30 p.m. in the North Parlor. This is sponsored by the Evangelism Committee, with Dale Ward serving as the discussion leader.

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL

A new Adult Sunday School class begins, Sunday, September 17th. A DVD series - “The Pressure is Off” by Shane Willard.

OUTREACH

Your donations provided food for 36 meals at our Food for Families dinner, food for 35 people from our Food Pantry and items for 52 people from our Paper & Personal Needs Pantry. In addition, we were able to provide veggies for 288 people. Thank you! Call Shirley Buckalew to volunteer at 810-664-0570.

TUESDAY BIBLE STUDY

Our Bible Study on “Agents of Babylon” by David Jeremiah (book of Daniel) will begin Tuesday, September 19th at 7 p.m. in Room 202. If you would like to join us, please call Vivian DeRiemaker at 810-688-2340 so a study guide can be ordered for you. Hope to see you soon!

ADVANCED LAY SERVANT CLASS

The Advanced Lay Servant Class entitled “Leading Public Prayer” will be offered at Trinity UMC beginning on Sunday, October 8th. The class will run from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. for four consecutive Sundays. A sign-up sheet is available in the lobby. Please see Craig Gormley for more information.

LOVE INC FUNDRAISER DINNER

Love INC is asking local churches to make baked goods for their October 19th Fall Fundraiser Dinner. The plan this year is to have each church, group their desserts together to set up friendly competition amongst the local churches.

YOUTH GROUP

Youth group has started! We meet Wednesdays, 6 - 7:30 p.m. Dinner is served at the meeting. Sundays we meet 12 - 2 p.m. Both meetings are in the Youth room.

UMM FELLOWSHIP HOUR TUMM is pleased at the participation in Fellowship Time during our “summer modified” worship schedule over the past few weeks, and are looking forward to EVEN GREATER ATTENDANCE beginning September 17th. NO FELLOWSHIP TIME TODAY! We need some “new” VOLUNTEER hosts to help continue our FELLOWSHIP TIME, so, if you are MOVED in that direction, please see Chuck Bennett or Bill Porter.

MOPS!! MOPS is beginning!!! MOPPETS Orientation in the North Parlor is at 8:30 a.m. this Tuesday, September 12th followed by an Open House for the moms and Moppets at 10 - 11 a.m. MOPS starts on September 19th and will be the first and third Tuesdays from 9 - 11:30 a.m.

GRIEF CLASS

A Grief Support group is starting on Wednesday, September 13th at 4 p.m. in the North Parlor. The group leader is Nancy Lagalski (810-730-0691). This series is for anyone experiencing a loss. The classes will include video, discussion and support based on the book “Beyond the Broken Heart.” We encourage people to repeat the class as we can find ourselves in different phases as time passes.

WEDNESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY

Please join us for a potluck on this Wednesday, September 13th at Noon in the North Parlor. We will study the book of Psalms. Call Mary Jane Poit at 810-614-0272 to order a study guide. Please bring a dish to pass and table service.

SOJOURNERS’ BIBLE STUDY

Sojourners’ Bible Study begins this Thursday, September 14, at 12 Noon in the North Parlor. Old and new members are welcome.

HURRICANE RELIEF = If you would like to give financial support to the victims of Hurricane Harvey, please put your donation in one of the pink offering envelopes found in the pew racks and write “hurricane relief ” on the envelope, and in the memo line of your check. 100% of the donations given to The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) makes it to the project, since the administrative costs come from other UM funds.
