October Meeting Highlights The meeting was held at the MATC Clubhouse in Norridgewock, with over 50 members present. In the morning, the lawn & garden tractor pulling committee held a progressive drag pull. At noon, there was an ample supply of good food for all our hungry members to enjoy. Get well wishes to Mel Nickerson, Thurston Haslem, and Del Carney. Take care. We miss you both, along with Jackie and Jo Ann. Except for the Blueberry Festival, the progressive drag hasn’t had any major breakdowns. Thanks, Ric Parady and Ron Winship, for your excellent work this spring. We had another successful year at The Common Ground Fair. Our drivers deserve a big thank you, especially Jeremy Chabe, Burl Ewell, and Charlie Hawkes. They drove all day Friday, without even a lunch break. At the end of the day, they were covered with dust. The Cub Cadet tractor raffle cleared $560.18. One of our own, Bob Davids, was the lucky winner. Thanks to Arthur Child and Patty Ladd, we had 2 sets of bleachers donated to us. Our meeting at the Norridgewock Club House was very well attended, with 50 plus members I think. Some members think we need to expand our building and I agree that this should be a priority. On a motion by Steve Lee, it was voted to give Thurston Haslem an honorary membership to our club. I don’t think anyone enjoyed our club functions more than ‘Dusty’ has. We miss him not being able to come to the meetings lately, and we all hope for his quick return.
