Competition Rules and Regulations:
The competition will be held in accordance with the IWF Handbook rules & regulations of the

Accreditation
Upon arrival, delegation will receive accreditation. Passport photos in color shall be submitted when
you send your final entry forms at the latest (athletes and officials).
Barbells
During the Championships ELEIKO barbells will be used for warm-up and competition

Accommodation
Accommodation will be at the El Mouradi hotel (*****). Accommodation will be provided from
February 27, 2014 only.

Transport
Local transportation will be provided from Tunisian Airport to hotel upon the arrival of delegations.
Financial Condition
The cost per double room (per person) per day is € 80, including accommodation, full-board
(Breakfast, lunch and dinner) and transportation.
The cost per single room (per person) per day is € 95, including accommodation, full-board
(Breakfast, lunch and dinner) and transportation.
The cost of staying at the hotel for three days, two athletes in double room from each country will
be paid by the Mediterranean Weightlifting Confederation. For two athletes it’s free of charges.
Visas
All participants must check if a visa is required for their entry in Tunisia. Please consult the list of
countries for which visa is necessary to enter Tunisia.
If a visa is required, participants will have to apply for visa with the Tunisian Embassy in their own
country.

NB. Entry visa on arrival costs about € 60.
Health Insurance
As per IWF Regulation, each delegation is required to have the appropriate Health Insurance in the
event of an accident or unforeseen circumstance. All participants will have to be under insurance
coverage for travel and accident by their respective Federation before their departure
The Organizing Committee is not responsible for accidents.
Flags and National Anthems
Each delegation participating in the competition should bring at two national flags in size of 100 x
150 cm, and a recording of their national anthem. This must be submitted upon arrival/accreditation.

Average temperature in Tunis during Cup: 15 – 20° C. Electricity supply in Tunisia runs on 220 V.
