Patel Centre for Science & Technology building and

M.Sc. IT is 2 year Master Program which is affiliated

with Sardar Patel University, V. V. Nagar.

Sardar Patel University (SPU) was established by an

Act of the Legislative Assembly of the then Bombay

Province in December 1955 and was recognized under

completed 56 golden years of a fruitful existence that

has brought it to the forefront in terms of its academic

Placement Procedure & Facilities

1. The Placement Office (the formal point of contact for placements) or

the Placement Cell (the body of student representatives) sends

invitations to companies/ organizations along with relevant

information.

2. If the company/ organization wish to conduct a Pre-Placement Talk

(PPT) they can send a request along with the preferred dates.

3. Interested students show their willingness to appear for the recruitment

process of a company

4. We send the details of the students who are attending the interview to

the company

5. Placement Office allots dates in consultation with the companies for

campus interviews which are confirmed once with the company.

6. Companies visit the campus on the allotted date/s and conduct tests

and/or interviews according to their recruitment process.

7. The company/ organization is required to furnish the final list of

students on the date of interview

Note:

The placement office records jobs corresponding to the students selected.

Students once placed may not be allowed to appear for other interviews as

per the institute placement policy.

Placement Office:

The placement office handles all aspects of campus placements for the post

graduating students of M.Sc. IT at ISTAR, V. V. Nagar.

The office is well equipped with excellent infra-structure to support every

stage of the placement process. Arrangement for Pre-Placement Talks,

interviews, Group Discussions etc. are all handled by the staff at the office.

The placement policies and other related activities are handled by

Placement officer in consultation with HOD and the Student

Representatives. The process of coordinating with companies for

recruitment is handled by the Placement Office and Placement Cell which

consists of one department Placement Nominees and nominated members
