Please join us on Friday, December 27 from 1:00-3:00pm for our Watermark University Registration Day. We will have our Spring Catalog available for you to see all the great classes we will be offering for the next couple of months. We will also be having a cooking demonstration with our Chef Ray, followed by a New Year's Celebration with music by Mike and Tom, along with some refreshments. Please make plans to attend our Holiday Open House on Saturday, December 14th, from 1:00 until 3:00pm. Our Residents and family members will be able to THRIVE! while taking photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, between 1:00 and 2:00pm, in the lounge. The festivities will continue with refreshments and music by Larry Breidenbach, from 2:00 until 3:00pm, in the main dining room. We look forward to seeing everyone at the Open House, to enjoy quality time together and remind ourselves to appreciate the ' reason for the season!' Thank you for helping us all to THRIVE! Merry Christmas, Amy Dunn, Executive Director Merry Christmas! During the holiday season, we all get so busy, we tend to forget about our health. Try to take a few minutes each day to relax. Close your eyes, take a few deep breaths, and just let it go. Taking care of your emotional health is equally important as taking care of your physical health! Also with the holiday, comes all those great goodies and desserts. Just remind yourself that studies have shown (honestly!), it's okay to indulge in a treat once in a while, just in moderation. In fact, an apple pie has half the calories of a pecan pie and turkey contains fewer calories than ham. Some great things to think about when planning your holiday meal this year! If you want more information, come join Nurse Lynn on Wednesday, December 11 at 1pm, in the lounge, for a presentation on, "Healthy Eating during the Holiday Season." Amy has been with Watermark for 20 years, as the Program Director and is very excited to step up to the new role as Executive Director. Amy is married to her loving husband, Bill for 22 years and they have 2 wonderful daughters, Ella and Abigail. She enjoys baking, walking, and being active here in the community. Amy's door will always be open, if you ever have any questions, concerns, or even compliments. She looks forward to dedicating herself to all of the residents, family members and employees!
