Create Postage Stamp Look

Blocks 2,4,5,7,8 are made by appliquéing the pieced block onto the background.

• Iron each block onto fusible web. Use the template on page 6 or draw out a postage stamp look on the back of each block. To use the template draw vertical and horizontal lines in the center of the back of each block. Place the template on the lines one corner at a time and trace the lines. The placement does not need to be the same for each block. Depending on the block size I made each one “fit” the scale of the block design.

• Trim off excess around postage stamp block. Remove paper and fuse to the center of the remaining piece for each block. Use a zig zag or satin stitch to secure in place. Block 2 - White 9.5" x 15.5" Block 4 - White 12.5" x 15.5" Block 5 - Jungle green 9.5" x 15.5" Block 7 - Ruby red 12.5" x 15.5" Block 8 - White 9.5" x 15.5"

Blocks 1,3,6,9 are made by appliquéing the background onto the pieced block.

• Iron each remaining background onto fusible web. Block 1 - Ruby red 12.5" x 15.5" Block 3 - Olive green 12.5" x 15.5" Block 6 - Ruby red 12.5" x 15.5" Block 9 - Jungle green 12.5" x 15.5"
