No.20. 15th
December, 2011.
Merry Christmas to all.
Reminder Yass Public School now has a student who is allergic to all nuts and is in danger of having
an anaphylactic reaction. Parents are all encouraged to ensure that no foods that
contain nuts (eg peanut butter and Nutella) are packed in lunch boxes or brought in for
class parties or Birthdays. All students are taught not to share foods at school.
Please reinforce this important health message at home.
Presentation Night
The school year is coming to a close with a flurry of activities. Sincere thanks to all our
families and friends who have supported our many end of year events. Thanks also to our
wonderful students and staff who have worked so hard to ensure that these events are so
enjoyable.
At this stage enrolments for 2012 suggest that we will have an additional, ninth, class. We
shall place students into their permanent classes as soon as possible but appreciate
everyone’s patience with this when numbers are so tight.
Students in Years 1 to 6 should return to school on Monday 30th January, 2012. We shall
welcome our new Kindergarten students on Tuesday 31st January.
Please let us know if students are returning after the first day of term so we can be sure of
our final enrolments.
I would like to thank the P&C and members of the school community for their support
this year. I wish all our families an enjoyable and safe holiday and look forward to seeing
you in the New Year.
Jenny Garnett.

Sustaining Our Towns is collecting the data to make a case to employers and
government for the promotion of tele-commuting in the regions surrounding
the ACT, particularly Palerang and Yass Valley.
Can you help us to help you? Complete our on-line survey by Dec 31st and go
