Last Day of Term 4 Friday 20th
JANUARY First Day of Term 1
Thursday 30th
Yesterday we celebrated the graduation of six of our students with a lunch at the Chinese Jade Restaurant in Warragul. Thank you to all the family members who attended the event and celebrated with us. Together we were able to celebrate the growth of all the graduates and anticipate their future pathways and successes in adulthood. Good luck and best wishes to Cass, Paul, Amber, Paige, Nicole and Toby. It is with a degree of sadness that we bid staff members Kate, Lyn, Ailsa and Jayne farewell. Lyn and Ailsa have taken the plunge and will be retiring from teaching. Jayne will be having a sea change and moving down to the coast and Kate has chosen to spend more time with her family. I wish all of them the best for the future and thank them for their tremendous contribution to our school. At Warragul & District Specialist School we are very fortunate to have a highly skilled and dedicated teachers, ES, and therapists. Without these people our school would not be at the high stand-ard we currently are. On your behalf I sincerely thank them for their wonderful efforts throughout the year. Finally I would like to wish everyone a peaceful and restful holiday.
I hope that everyone has the opportunity to spend quality time
with those near and dear to them.
Matt

We have had a great year in the Speech department. Students in our school communicate in many different ways.
Some students use switches to activate speech devices. Some students use iPads with speech apps. Some stu-
dents use Picture Exchange. Some students use sign language. Some students use their voice. Everyone has been
working hard on their communication skills.
