    Pump Industry Analyst

    The pump sector maintained its consolidation momentum during 2002. Cross-border deals were commonplace, as pump companies

    added technologies and product lines and expanded into new markets. The majority of the deals were niche-type acquisitions, withan increase in the number of product lines rather than companies being acquired, as post-acquisition integration measures led many

    pump companies to regroup and refine their product lines, divesting non-core operations and overlapping manufacturing units.
