Not much sand is left. The road has been mostly resurfaced in recent years.

The first bit of Namatijira Drive has some sand which is slow going. Doesn’t last long.

Gosse Bluff is worth getting a closer look at. A comet hit here 145 million years ago, give or take a few days.
