WAVES swimming uses a progressive age group program in which the swimmer is instructed and developed in physical, mental and emotional levels in a systematic fashion. An emphasis on fun and family for the younger swimmers develops into a gradual increase in commitment over a period of years. Every unique group for children emphasizes the joy of swimming while introducing beginning swimming techniques. The “pre-team” portion of the class teaches the fundamental motor skills of swimming with an emphasis on correct body placement. The WAVES offer competitive and non-competitive tracks for swimmers to follow once they finish with swim lessons.
