To provide support, information and supervision to those sign off mentors who were supporting final placement students

To ensure continued public protection

What our sign off mentors told us….

Recognised my own level of knowledge

Shared learning and problem solving with other mentors

These sessions helped me be better prepared for the student

Recommendations

• Model of support for sign off mentors is being extended to include all fields of nursing

• Development of support for mentors

• Review and adapt the model to meet service need

• Continued robust evaluation
