We bring together our collective strengths, our minds and our hearts

to champion the health and well-being of every person who calls our beautiful community home.

MHLC’s first annual

Men’s Health Aware-

ness Event was held on

Thursday, February

28th. We were over-

whelmed with the awe-

some community sup-

port with over 100

guests attending.

Presentations started with Alex Erickson, Cincinnati Bengal's

wide receiver talking on why your health should be a priority.

Dr. Matt Solverson discussed heart health, heart attacks and

strokes-signs and preventions. Dr. Ian Stormont discussed is-

sues unique to men, and some of the secondary issues spouses

may encounter. From the little blue pill to the newest least intru-

sive solutions to the nighttime trips to the bathroom. Dr. Dan

Stormont wrapped the presentations with the mental/cognitive

benefits of physical activity. He addressed the pros and cons of

your leisure and work activities, and realistic expectations of ac-

tivities in the face of arthritis and other medical issues. We had

delicious snacks provided by MHLC’s Dietary and Avon Locker.
