MEMORANDUM TO: Local HBA Executive Officer/Elected Secretary Local HBA Presidents FROM: Alan Banks, NCBI President DATE: January 16, 2017 RE: Profit Sharing Proposal for NCBI Courses Presented Locally Enclosed you will find a copy of the North Carolina Builder Institute (NCBI) Local HBA Marketing Plan. This proposal was developed to meet the needs expressed by a number of our Local Home Builder Associations who have an interest in providing NCBI courses. Due to these requests, the NCBI Trustees appointed a task force to research and develop a marketable plan which would benefit both the NCBI and the Local Home Builder Association. With the continued growth of the NCBI program, the NCBI Trustees feel the program can now be effectively taught outside the parameters of the standard classroom. This proposal is designed to show how the NCBI educational courses can be of benefit to your association and outlines how this marketing plan can be accomplished, noting the objectives, procedures, estimated fees and areas of responsibility. In addition we have also enclosed an updated brochure for your information. If you are interested in presenting a course at your Local HBA please fill out the NCBI – Local HBA Registration Form and mail it with your payment to: NCBI, P. O. Box 99090, Raleigh, NC 27624. If you have questions concerning the program or this proposal you may contact Deborah Alford, Director of Exhibitions & Education at [email protected] or 800-662-7129. I look forward to working together with you on this project. AB/dwa Enclosures

4 Ways An NCBI Designation Benefits Your Business

1. SET YOUR COMPANY APART FROM OTHER BUILDING

COMPANIES. Less than 75 builders currently have a professional designation through

the N.C. Builder Institute, so you will be part of an elite group of professionals.

2. BE RECOGNIZED BY THE NC LICENSING BOARD FOR

GENERAL CONTRACTORS. Not only will your designation appear on your

General Contractor’s license, but a notation will appear when potential clients verify your company’s license on the N.C. Licensing Board for General Contractors website.

3. BE LISTED ON THE NC HOME BUILDERS ASSOCIATION

WEBSITE. All NCBI designee holders are listed on nchba.org, giving you further

publicity and recognition. NCHBA also promotes new licensees with your local media through press releases.

4. INCREASE PROFESSIONALISM AND KNOWLEDGE. The constantly changing curriculum and expert NCBI instructors will help your business grow and prosper.
