The historical perspective allowed me to see Jesus’ actions in a totally different light. Chapters began with the number of days Jesus had left to live. Holy Week is the holiest week of our church year; it is a time of prayer and reflection. Yesterday, at Palm Sunday Mass, we celebrated Jesus’ triumphant return to Jerusalem. Dear Parents, Thank you to Shelby Kovac for inspiring our budding Preschool artists to create beautiful art for the Preschool Art Show. Thanks, also, to Miss Krische, Mrs. Vuoso, and allthe parents who helped in anyway to make this a wonderful day for all!

Holy Week As we enter Holy Week, I want to share about reading Bill O’Reilly’s Killing Jesus just before Lent started. The historical perspective allowed me to see Jesus’ actions in a totally different light. Chapters began with the number of days Jesus had left to live. I found myself thinking, “No, I haven’t gotten a chance to know Him well enough!” If you haven’t read it, I encourage you to do so. Memo from the Principal        Continued  …

Q: Is this how much tuition will go up each year now?A: NO. This was a catch-up year. It is my expectation that the usual tuition increase will be $10-

15 for a one-child family again in future years. I had a lengthy discussion with the HTPA board about the why for the increase. Please do take some time to look at what other schools in our comparison chart charge. I encourage you to visit other Catholic elementary and private schools’ websites to compare offerings. I know that you don’t necessarily have the opportunity to visit many other Catholic schools, so visiting a website will give you a good idea of what they offer. I do not want to make light of the increase, but if you compare what you pay for your after school activities and really look at what your child gets at Holy Trinity School, I hope you can recognize the value you get for your tuition payment. When your child gets to high school and can speak Spanish and easily navigate through Spanish class, you will realize then, when you don’t have to hire a Spanish tutor at $25.00 per hour, that the $40.00 spent now was well worth it. You get four hours of Spanish a month included in your child’s education! The FACTS Program will cost $45.00 per family. Most schools charge the families this amount as a fee. Holy Trinity School will pay the cost of this program; I did not want to add this on top of a tuition increase. Some reminders for this week:

During Holy Week, I hope each of you has time to pray and prepare for the death andResurrection of our Savior.

To help prepare the students for Holy Week, they will attend the 5th Grade Presentation ofthe Stations of the Cross Tuesday at 9:00 AM.

Then on Thursday, the 3rd Grade has their Passover Feast at 9:00. Thursday is a Minimum Day, 12:30 dismissal.

“I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, heshall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die.” --John 11:25-26

Have a very Blessed Easter and a terrific vacation!

Dear Parents,

Holy Trinity has a wonderful program known as the Uniform Exchange. It is a closet full of uniforms passed down by other HT children who have outgrown their uniforms. We have a nice supply of all uniforms needed by the students. How it works: You simply request items needed for your child and include size and sex. The committee will fill the order in a timely manner. If items are not in stock, they are simply not sent. We only ask that once your child has grown out of their uniforms, you do the favor of returning any item in new/good condition to the closet. The following is a list of items available:

Boys: Polo Shirts Child S, K L, XL in White or Grey Pants (with or without elastic) Shorts (with or without elastic) Sweatshirts

Girls: Blouses Beginning sizes 5, 6, etc Polo Shirts Child S M L, XL in White or Grey Jumpers Bibbed Skirts beginning at size 5, 6 etc Shorts (with or without elastic) Pants (with or without elastic) Sweaters Cardigans in Red & Blue Sweatshirts

If you wish to request an order for your child, please fill out the bottom portion of this flyer and return it to the main office.

Please join us in making a difference by teaming up to participate in the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life. Saving lives from cancer starts one team, one participant, and one dollar at a time.

At the Relay For Life event, some of our team will camp out overnight and take turns walking around the track to raise money and awareness to help the American Cancer Society finish the fight against cancer.

By joining or donating to our team, you will be a part of a life-changing event that gives everyone in the community a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that takes too much.

Please support our efforts to fight cancer by joining our team or making a donation. The impact we can make together is much greater than what any of us could do alone! Team members are asked to walk 1 Hour during the 24-hour event.

You can join this year’s Holy Trinity Relay team “Jolly Fr. Rolly” by logging onto www.relayforlife.org/sanpedroca and clicking on Sign Up then Join a Team.

To make a donation, click on our team name under the same website or send a check (payable to American Cancer Society) to the Holy Trinity Church Office ATTN: John Wood.

For more info, please contact Tina Wood > [email protected] 310.513.3616

Thank you for your support! Look forward to seeing you on the track!

Remembering Fr. Rolly
