Gift and Scholarship Guidelines

A High School graduate, member in good standing, will receive a gift of $50.00 within a month following graduation.

The Adolph Joubert Scholarship (so named by Pastor N. Thomas) is a book scholarship. The name has nothing to do with the funding. The scholarship will be funded by the banquet only. Based on how much is in the scholarship fund, the scholarship will awarded to the graduate(s) based on the scholarship application, participation, and regular attendance. The scholarship is for the first year of college and is a onetime scholarship.

A High School graduate, member in good standing, will receive a scholarship in the amount of $250.00 upon showing the completion of the first semester and enrollment into the second semester of post-secondary education.

A graduating junior college/trade school student, or college student, member in good standing, will receive a gift of $250.00 upon completion of his/her education. However, for junior college/trade school, the course of study must be completed within three years of graduating high school. Students attending a four year college can only receive the gift if they graduate within six years of graduating high school. Must show proof of completion before receiving gift.

Other Considerations:*The cutoff age for receiving a gift or scholarship will be 25

years of age.

*Special considerations will be determined by the scholarship committee. For example, a junior college student may have finished after three years due to a life changing experience (health/death in the family).

Donation requests for youth, community person, or events can be submitted but must be decided upon by the Central Review Committee. Modest contributions may be made but will be limited by number and certain cases may not be possible due to the financial position of the church at any given time.
