This is our 4th Newsletter which contains details of membership renewal,forthcoming Navratri Festival, Havan and Diwali and other events organisedfor you.You are recommended to read and comply with membership renewal re-quest and note the conditions for attending the Navratri Festival.

I am sorry to advise that one of our Trustees Miss Selina Rawal has re-signed from Trusteeship of BSNL. We thank her for her contribution toBSNL throughout her Trusteeship. She will continue to assist BSNL as andwhen she can.

I am pleased to confirm that the renovation of the upstairs hall at BSNL isnearly complete. We are now working on Porta Cabin replacement project

forms were sent to all members with the last Newsletter (No 3). If youhave not renewed your membership then please down load renewal form from

www.bsnl.org.uk. Complete the form and send it to Hitesh Purohit, MembershipTrustee at the address on the form.

Please be aware we will not be renewing memberships at Navratri. This is to avoid hugequeues at the front gate. We will, however, be on hand throughout the festival to answerany membership related queries.

In an effort to cut down the number of envelopes we send out, we are moving towards sendingcirculars by email. This will both save the Samaj some money, but also, will benefit the en-

vironment. If you would prefer to receive circulars by email only, please tick the boxbelow the email address field (email circulars), in the membership renewal

Children's Garba on Sunday 18th October 2015

We will once again be encouraging our young ones (and their parents or grandparents) to get together at BSNL hall toenjoy good music and garba together

on Sunday 18th October 2015, 1:00 p.m. to 5 p.m.at BSNL Community Centre 128 East Lane North Wembley Middlesex HA03NL

There will be no entrance fee for children under 16. Over 16’s will be requested to make a £1 contribution which will beused towards refreshments for the children.

Diwali at Trafalgar Square on Sunday 12th October 2015The Mayor of London and Diwali in London committee (BSNL are members of this committee) are proud to an-nounce that this year’s Diwali in Trafalgar Square will be celebrated on Sunday 12th October 2015 from 2 pm to 7pm.This is a free event open to all. Trip to see Houses of Parliament on Monday 26th October 2015-arranged by Abhilasha

Our popular trip to the houses of parliament is back! It has been confirmed for 10:35 am on 26th October 2015.Please make your own way to the venue and arrive 30 minutes prior to the start time at the Westminster Hall. Diwali 2015

This year BSNL Diwali programme will be held on Saturday 21st November 2015 at Sangam Community Centre, BurntOak ,London from 6 pm to 11.30 pm, The Programme will be dinner and Music by Musical Stars.Tickets are £15 adults for members, £17 for non-members and £8 for Children (aged from 5 to 12).

Prime Minister of India Shree Narendra Modi

You all probably know the expected visit of our Modiji to UK on 13th November 2015 at Wembley Stadium. This eventis invitation only and free of charge.

Art of Living is the largest welcoming partner and as such has a very large allocation of invitations. Hence Art of Livingthrough Shree Harsharay Shukla would like to extend the invitations to all those BSNL members who may not be ableto get the invite due to small allocation to BSNL. Shree Harshadray Shukla can - as an AOL member - take a lot ofmembers under AOL umbrella, making sure everyone gets a chance to be at this event.The system will work as follows:Option 1 :Shree Harshadray Shukla will – under his (AOL) access code - nominate and request for invitations.As it is first come, first served, he will be notified the allocation available for him at that time (He has about 2000allocation on his code) and receive invites accordingly. So he suggest that those interested to forward to him theirs,family members' and friends' full names along with e-mail id/contact numbers ASAP. The main requestor must statehe/she is from Bsnl., so that he can include them under his AOL allocation.

New Activities

Since our last Newsletter the recent enjoyable highlights in our E Group were as follows:A day out in July with several members visiting the Hare Krishna Temple (ISKON) in Watford for Aarti Darshan.That was also complimented with a Prashad Bhojan, a mini tour of the grounds of the temple with Tulsi Darshanand a visit to their Gau-Shala. The afternoon was led by Shashikantbhai Mehta with musical games and singing inthe gardens of the templeOn 18 August we celebrated the Indian Independence Day with many members in their traditional and nationalcoloured attires, and singing National songs with our in-house musical accompaniment.25 August marked our celebrations with the theme of Raksha Bandhan.

On educational front, our member Bhartiben Vyas, a leading beauty and health therapist has given demonstrationsand advice on five different Acupressure points to date that are said to promote good general health and well-be-ing as well as a wide range of common ailments. The feedback from many people indicated that they had foundthese beneficial with their self-help approach. Bhartiben is hoping to do more of such work to its next level withthe group in the future months.

Last week was a time for light hearted moments and we enjoyed joining several other members singing humoroussongs both old and new.8 September is earmarked by the e Group for celebrating Krishna Janmashtmi with singing and dancingSuch examples of activities at this group are very popular with their proactive participations and we continue tolook for ways to enhance these further. The e Group is looking forward to moving to the newly refurbished hall on29 September after its completion. Once settled, the sub-committee will look at ways to increase the membershipthrough the waiting list in a staged phase. The central ethos of Bhajan, Bhojan and Manoranjan for the elderlywould of course be the principal aim. It will additionally reflect on the day’s formats and activities to plan for thefuture. Our Yoga sessions which have been on temporary hold would be recommenced on 6 October in the newhall.

Elder’s Group

Culture Club (CC) is a fun club for all BSNL children aged between 5 and 18.We meet every Saturday (10 sessions per school term), between 2 and4:30 pm at BSNL house.

During our sessions, our children learn about Hindu and Gujarati culture, history, religion, lan-guage, music (singing bhajans, garbas, aartis, etc.) and dance (traditional and folk styles) in arelaxed, friendly environment.As well as learning, children gain friends within their own community and have fun.Do encourage your children to join us!For more information on the club, to enrol your child or to offer your services, please contactTrupti (07947 807147) or Nutan (07963 796748)…we look forward to hearing from you!
