Membership is either General Membership $25.00 or Associate Membership $10.00 made payable to AMTC in US FUNDS and must be submitted with this application. Membership involvement is essential for club success: The AMTC needs its membership to volunteer to help with the numerous activities it provides each year. Please indicate in which of the following activities you have an interest. (check all that apply):

DESCRIPTION OF CLUB ACTIVITIES: CONFORMATION: AMTC offers classes in conformation to assist students in developing or improving their handling skills, to give new dog experience in the ring, and provide “run throughs” for practical experience. You can get involved as an Instructor or Assistant Instructor. OBEDIENCE: To further proper socialization of puppies and dogs, AMTC offers general obedience classes for Puppies (3-6 months), Basic and Advanced Basic levels. We also offer Novice, Open, and Utility levels for individuals interested in obedience competitions. RALLY: Classes prepare students for Rally competitions by developing an understanding of Rally rules and regulations, proper sign performance, and ring etiquette. AMTC LICENSED SHOWS: We provide two AMTC licensed conformation show(s), one obedience/rally show, and one “B” conformation match. Volunteers are needed to support these events in every imaginable capacity – e.g. ring stewards, parking attendants, show site preparation, clean-up, etc. PUBLIC EDUCATION: Public education to promote the proper care, treatment, and training of dogs is an important community service that AMTC provides. You can get involved in many local events. JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP: Training classes for Junior Showmanship are conducted throughout the year, teaching proper show techniques and providing motivation for the development of junior handlers. You can get involved as an Instructor or Assistant Instructor. CANINE HEALTH & RESEARCH: On occasion, we are called upon to represent the club and dog fanciers in the review and revision of regulations for the American Morkshire Terrier breed. Representing the club on issues such as health are key interests for the club. RESCUE & RECOVERY: Rescue and Recovery is offered to all American Morkshire Terriers’, Yorkshire terriers’ and Maltese by the American Morkshire Rescue Association (AMRA). This association is operated entirely by volunteers. You can get involved as a foster home for a rescued Morkshire Terrier, Yorkshire terrier and/or Maltese in need.

Members must be in good standing with the AMTC and comply with all AMTC rules and regulations.

Members, as representatives of AMTC, shall at all times, act solely in the best interests of the club in a

manner consistent with high standards of conduct and ethics.

Members shall refrain from unnecessary criticism of another person, their dog, and/or breed. Dogs

owned by, or in the care of, members shall be provided a proper, safe and healthy environment.
