Dear Toco Hills NORC Members,
One of my goals as your NORC Coordinator is to help you maintain your inde-
pendence through offering you resources that educate you and provide you
with practical and tactile solutions. In support of this goal on Wednesday
March 8th from 11:30 am—1 pm we will be offering a program called ‘Lunch
N’ Punch.’ This program will empower you and help increase your
awareness in potentially dangerous situations.
While there is a cost associated with the program please think of it as an in-
vestment in your independence and safety as a member of the
community. Please consider joining me for this very important session.
Ashley Maloy, LMFT
Member Spotlight: Betsy Cenker
Betsy, a native to Atlanta, has been involved with the
NORC for 3 years. She was looking to engage more
with her community and found the NORC to be a
great opportunity for this. Betsy has long-standing
relationships with several other NORC members who
grew up in the area as well.
Betsy and her husband, whom she met through the
national conference for synagogue youth, raised their
5 children here in Atlanta while attending Congrega-
tion Beth Jacob. Betsy worked in the office of day
schools after attending business school and also
taught pre-school.
Betsy has an artist spirit and she loves to crochet, and
create pottery. She loves medical TV shows like
Grey’s Anatomy and Code Black. Betsy’s proudest
accomplishment is “the adults her children have
turned into.”
Betsy & her husband Michael have been
married for 44 years!
