Washington, DC – July 23, 2013
• 32 EHS and member attendees
• One-day comprehensive training course on the Globally
Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of
Chemicals, led by Dr. Michele Sullivan, Ph.D.
• Registrants received 300-page training materials for future
use

RCMA Federal Government Affairs Lobby Day
Washington, DC – July 24, 2013
• Opening comments from Representative Cory Gardner (CO-4)
• 20 RCMA members met with members of Congress from their states and districts
• 70 different congressional offices visited in total
• Primary issues discussed:
• Clarifying IRS Tax Code IRC 25C to include the use of roof coatings
• Extending or making permanent the Commercial Building Tax Deduction (IRC Sec. 179D)
• Opposing the EPA further lowering the National Ozone Standard
