Ripples……. HARD WORK LEADS TO SUCCESS

Hard work is the key to success. Nothing can be achieved without hard work. It has been well said, “Great heights by great men were reached, not attained by sudden flight, But because while their companions slept, they were toiling upwards in the night.” Constant vigilance and preparedness is required to achieve success in life. Work is a privilege and a pleas-ure; idleness is a luxury that none can afford. Man is born to work and prosper in life. He, like steel, shines when used and rusts in rest. Work is worship. It exalts man if it is done honestly. Those who toil are, sooner or later, rewarded with luck and success. A man of action believes in living in the present. There is no tomorrow for him. He makes the best of his time. Life is full of strife. Life is action. Activity is the law of nature. A life of idleness is a life of shame and dis-grace. Industry is the key to success. Industry makes and idleness mars a nation. Greatness can be achieved by great labour only. If a man exercises regularly both his physical and mental faculties, he enjoys sound health which is the only wealth a man can really boast of. He also builds a moral character. Nobody on earth leaves a name, to pos-terity without real work. Surely, one must live a life that inspire others. A man of action and iron will carry everything before him and, instead of living a life controlled by circumstances, will himself control them. Not poverty but idleness is a great curse. If we waste time, time shall waste us. A life crammed with work is a life bubbling with joy. Great men of the world were born in cottages but they died in palaces. America’s famous President Abraham Lincoln was born in a log cabin in the forest. He could not afford a lamp and read borrowed books with light of the fire in the hearth. And yet by dint of hard work, he rose to be the greatest man of his time. Stalin the late Prime Minister of Russia, was the son of a mere cobbler! To sum up the greatness and success lie in hard, honest and selfless work.
