Children’s Spring Musical TODAY, Sunday, May 1 (5:00 pm) First UMC Fellowship Hall

Not Your Average Joe Starring: Children's Ministries (Pre-K through 5th grade)

The classical Old Testament story of Joseph is retold in the exuberant times and music of the 50's. It's surfer beats, leather jackets, and surf boards, but the gospel truth remains the same...trust the Lord with all your heart.

That Joe--he's so dreamy! The year is 1959, and at the family drive-in, Papa Jake's Fries and Shakes, things are hoppin'! But favored son Joe always seems to have his nose in a Good Book. When the patriarch of the family, Papa Jake, gives Joe his prized leather jacket and turns his business over to him for the summer, things get gnarly. With some "help" from his jealous siblings, Joe finds himself unexpectedly aboard a woody wagon headed to faraway land of sand, strange customs, and a Pharoh...er, Great Kahuna...the beach! The ups and downs of the journey remind Joe God is with Him, and the hurricane force of a food crisis teaches Joe and his reunited family the power of forgiveness. Vacation Bible School Registration Vacation Bible School registration is on the website www.fumclex.org. Also, forms are located on the Volunteer’s Desk in the Reception Area. Please return completed forms to the church office.

Online Giving The newest addition to our church website – www.fumclex.org - is the ability to make electronic contributions to the church. By clicking on the Give tab at the top right corner of our “banner screen”

or the Giving Online tab on the bottom right side of the footer, you will be redirected to a secure site –eservicepayments.com – where you can make one time contributions or schedule recurring gifts.

Contributions can be debited automatically from your checking or savings account, or

processed using your credit or debit card. Our electronic giving program offers a convenient alternative way for members and friends to support the work of the church.

When you first enter the secure site, you will need to create a profile before you can make a contribution. After a few quick steps, you’ll be up and running! Contributions can be made to the General Operating Fund, the Memorial Fund (with space to tell us who the memorial is for) or Other (with a space to tell us where the gift should be directed). Then follow the steps to make your gift.

For mobile device users, there is also a QR (Quick Response) code that will take you to a mobile site, where you can follow the same process and make contributions from your smartphone or tablet. The QR code will be printed on the bulletin each week for your convenience.

Detailed brochures are located in the display racks at the 4th Avenue and State Street entrances.
