‘I’ll be embracing colour, but in small amounts. Artwork is a great way to do

this, you can simply select your decor finishes to complement the colours from a painting, which will help make the art

and palette look like they belong.’

‘Create spaces that make me happy. Add wit and spontaneity into decorating, and most importantly, create opportunities to play at home especially if you don’t have young children. I recently designed a giant magnetic scrabble board mounted onto a wall with a library rolling ladder attached. It’s so effective, looks amazing, and people of all ages use it all the time.’

‘i’m looking forward to doing the more tedious yet therapeutic things around the house. i can’t wait to have the time for repotting plants, re-arranging my cupboards and moving a bit of furniture around. Call it spring cleaning in high summer if you will! i really want to embrace this down time and enjoy my home; try cooking new recipes, throw a dinner party or two and pour over new coffeetable books.’

‘I just finished authoring my first book about making unique pieces for your interior, which really solidified my need to live in a space that’s authentic to me. In order to do that, I’m declaring 2015 the year of the eternal spring clean. If I don’t absolutely love it or feel an emotional connection to it - it’s gone!’

‘i’m going to try my hardest to curb the homewares hoarding and pull back on filling

up every space in my apartment. i’ve got oodles and oodles of cushions and nowhere to

put them. they’re definitely my weakness!’
