The new standard for fire rated LED downlights

I’m delighted to be writing to you with an interim mid-season update, offering you a taster of some of Megaman’s latest products in our Professional and Economy ranges, welcome additions to our 2014 main catalogue.

You will see that these are all LED based products, providing the highest performance at a significantly lower cost, and reflecting the fact that LED products are now the de facto lighting mainstream. We can now offer you LED lamps that look exactly the same as traditional incandescent and compact fluorescent lamps, but of course with huge energy savings, maximum convenience and the appeal that only this technology brings.

On this note, I would like to take the opportunity to announce that over the course of the next few months we will be delisting our premium Ingenium 15,000hr CFL lamp range (we will have a core range of CFL still)as we develop further LED alternatives.

There are lots of exciting new products detailed on the following pages, but of these, I’ve picked just three of them to highlight for you here:

NEW VERSA-LED RANGE: SERVICEABLE, FIRE RATED FIXTURES

We are proud to announce Megaman's first fully integrated, serviceable fire rated LED fitting. Looking just like a traditional downlight and

matching our other downlight products (featuring the Megaman honeycomb lens), this fully compliant enclosed fitting has a modular design allowing straightforward, simple initial positioning at first fix which can then be removed and reinserted at final fix and commissioning.

The 8W Versa-LED is available in three bezel colour finishes – white, chrome and satin chrome and in a fixed or tilt option. The fitting comes with dimmable module, available in 2800K and 4000K, also sold separately.

NEW 5W LED GU10: LATEST LED TECHNOLOGY SUITABLE FOR OLDER FITTINGS

We can now deliver the latest LED technology for customers wishing to use older GU10 fittings, providing a more sustainable solution.

Replacing the Megaman 11W CFL GU10, the new 5W LED GU10 is a similarly designed long neck (74mm) lamp that ensures a perfect fit into a wide range of older fittings, including those from JCC, Aurora and KSR. So the 5W LED GU10 is the smart and sustainable choice for older fittings, giving them a new lease of life - in fact up to 15,000 hours!

5W MELLOTONE CANDLE: NEWEST ADDITION TO OUR POPULAR INCANDA-LED RANGE

Another exciting addition to our recently introduced Incanda-LED range will breathe new life into chandeliers and crystal light fi ttings. This effi cient and long lasting clear glass LED emits a beautiful glow and sparkle, but with an even more soothing and restful tone. With a colour temperature of 2400K, it offers a subtle, warmer feel in comparison with other warm white lamps at 2800K. Furthermore, as with other LEDs in the Incanda-LED range, the mellotone candle works perfectly with most conventional dimmer controls.

Light and the future of lighting are at the very heart of what we do. So we hope that you will fi nd this expanded catalogue both useful and inspiring. Megaman's fi rst fully integrated fi re rated downlight with a serviceable LED module allowing ultimate control. The module can be removed for fi rst fi x on site and then added in quickly and easily via clip in connectors for fi nal commissioning. If the building use changes, the module can be upgraded or removed and replaced with another colour temperature or a higher performing option.

Design features include the latest super-effi cient Megaman LED module, easy click connectors, large push button terminals, Loop in Loop out features to save installation time and advanced thermal design to lower operating temperatures and extend life.
