Summer in Sun Peaks. The options are endless for your team building, meetings or incentive group. See below for a sneak peek into what a day could look like in Sun Peaks. Stroll through the village, listen to live concerts, relax at the spa or discover the shops and cafés.

These are just a few ways you can make the most of your BC summer days in Sun Peaks:

Explore the Alpine Head up the chairlift and experience the alpine wild flowers that Sun Peaks is known for. Once you reach the top of the chairlift you can venture on a leisurely hike through the flowers to the ‘Top of the World’, head out on the cross country or downhill biking trails or enjoy a cold beverage on the patio of the Sunburst Lodge before riding the chair back down. Guided tours are available for hiking, cross country bike and downhill biking.

Take a Journey Through History Hop aboard a voyageur canoe with your group to learn about Canadian history from your very own fur trader tour guide. Enjoy a leisurely paddle across McGillivray Lake where you may spot some local wildlife such as beavers, moose, deer or loons. Following the paddle you can enjoy a Fur Traders Feast in a log cabin beside the lake, where you will experience foods that the fur traders once ate, such as salmon and bannock.

Golfing in the Mountains Sun Peaks offers a one-of-a-kind golfing experience with the greens located at 1,200 metres above sea level, making the course British Columbia’s highest elevation course. Surrounded by natural foliage and panoramic mountain views, the challenging 18-hole par 72 Graham Cooke designed course winds through the valley and amongst the three surrounding mountains, Tod, Sundance, and Morrisey. The 6,400 yard course offers risk and reward opportunities intended to appeal to every level of golfer.

Winter in Sun Peaks. Our winter adventures can be tailored to your specific needs, ensuring your entire team has the opportunity to participate and enjoy these fun activities. Your group can head out on an exhilarating dog sled adventure, snowmobile tours combined with campfire cookouts, or a guided mountain tour of our three diverse mountains just to name a few.

At Sun Peaks Resort you’ll find BC winter activities for everyone.

Snowshoeing Adventures Venture onto our winter playground on snowshoes. Your team building experience can be catered to your needs and can include adventure challenges and team relays. Tours can include a night time snowshoe with a campfire cookout, a strenuous journey out to McGillivray Lake, or an alpine snowshoe experience where you will see stunning views from Tod Mountain that will take your breath away.

The Alpine Fondue & Starlight DescentBoard the Sunburst Express chairlift for an exclusive twilight ride up to the newly renovated Sunburst Mid Mountain Restaurant. With your fellow diners you’ll enjoy stunning views of sunset down the valley. A warm welcome awaits at the top, where you’ll be transported to the Alps with a hearty three-course fondue meal and traditional Swiss music. After dinner you will descend down the 5 Mile run back to the warm glow of the village lights with your guide. Your group must be able to confidently ski or snowboard a groomed green (easiest) run, in the dark with a small headlamp.

A headlamp will be provided to all guests for the descent. The starlit sky is the perfect backdrop for the ski down, and is a great way to end a day on the mountain.

Horse Drawn Sleigh Rides Sit back under the covers and take in the sights and sounds of the village and surrounding area for a daylight, sunset or evening tour. You’ll wind through the village at a leisurely pace and listen to the clatter of hooves and ringing of sleigh bells before moving out more briskly into the open for views of the valley and mountains.
