MEET MBH CORPORATION SUBSIDIARY UK SPORTS TRAINING UK SPORTS TRAINING LTD UK Sports Training was founded in June 2012 by Ben Tomlin and was originally a small training provider, offering one-day first aid & fire safety courses in Romford in Essex. The early days were very much Ben working on his own delivering courses to various gyms, pre schools & sports clubs. The company soon grew within the fitness sector, as Ben had previously worked as a personal trainer in several gyms across Essex and already had a foundation knowledge of the industry, so looked to combine this knowledge into UK Sports Training. In the early days of the business, Ben’s objective was to merge with established training providers already running fitness courses, as he needed additional infrastructure and facilities to support this. At the same time Ben gained his own qualifications in Teaching & Internal Quality Assurance to go alongside the fitness qualifications he had previously gained from Barking college in Essex, and delivered his own personal training courses with an additional tutor. It was decided that as a small provider operating very near to London, and with large established companies there offering the exact same qualifications, that UK Sports Training needed to be acutely learner-focused and to offer an amplified high-level quality and customer service to be able to compete. They had to go above and beyond and truly connect with learners, rather than just providing them with qualifications and ending the relationship at that point. They also had to be smart and drive leads through social media to be able to compete with the normal, heavily focused & financially backed Google pay per click ads that the bigger companies used. This created multiple voices that were happy with the opportunity they were given to gain qualifications and employment. This led to many referrals. UK Sports Training was then able to develop students into tutors that enabled them to start scaling, whilst maintain the identity as a forward- thinking training provider with learner experience at the heart of its plans. UK Sports Training now has two fixed sites across Essex, in Romford and Southend - and recently opened in London Bridge. They have also been offering Level 3 Sports Massage Therapy qualifications as a progression route for their learners, enabling further career options for both employed and self-employed opportunities. The Fitness Sector has massiveinfluences on peoples’ well-being; it is proven it canhave a positive impact on not only physical health -also but mental health. Today, the UK needs morepersonal trainers which wil l impact the wellbeing ofpeople who may not be aware of the positiveinfluence physical activity can have on them. UK Sports Training believe that eventhough the industry is already current and wellestablished, it is hardly touching the surface of itspotential as technological enhancements, wideraudiences from a younger age, and a broadeningawareness of health & f itness in the oldergeneration, is producing an upward trend inparticipants at gyms, health clubs, private f itnessstudios and training from home. After teaming up with Acacia Training & MBH, UKSports Training intends to establish further centresacross the UK and to replicate courses nationally .The company wil l develop & consolidate its newlyfound London site, then moving to establish intoManchester and eventually into other major cit ies.The company wil l continue to produce quality tutorsand offer opportunities for past students to moveinto teaching when they are ready, and to give themthe support they need to be able to take the nextstep in their careers.

At 19 years old a complete career change happened by chance for Ben - when he broke his leg playingfootball . The change came with him joining the Metropolitan Police as a Police Officer and at that t imehe put a career in f itness behind him. Although being in the Police force was rewarding, after four yearsservice Ben applied to join the London Fire Brigade, as a f ire-f ighter.
