Meet the difference! Personal attention and a unique range of solutions: for more than 100 years, this has been our trademark at Royal Eijkelkamp. Royal Eijkelkamp has been devising, developing, producing and delivering smart solutions for soil and water projects worldwide since 1911.

These innovative solutions, together with the existing knowledge and expertise of our soil and water specialists, have served to raise projects to a higher level. From field measurement equipment to smart sensoring & sampling and from Edelman augers to sonic drilling machines, Royal Eijkelkamp has quite a range on offer.

Figures and years

1911Hendrik eijkelkamp started out as a village blacksmith.

1970Fons eijkelkamp joins the company. His remit: a complete changeover to the company’s own product.

1996isO-9001 quality assurance certificate was awarded for the first time in 1996. and renewed each year thereafter.

1998The eijkelkamp academy, established in 1998, has trained over 10,000 people in the meantime.

2005eijkelkamp sonicsampdrill was established in 2005.

2011royal eijkelkamp celebrates its 100th year and the designation 'royal’ is conferred on the business.

2015The first royal eijkelkamp facility is established abroad. eijkelkamp north america represents royal eijkelkamp in the united states and Canada.royal eijkelkamp has an excess of 100 employees.royal eijkelkamp is represented by partners in more than 90 countries.

Natural resourcesWorldwide, there has been much debate about

natural resource allocations. This is partly due to

the increasing scarcity (depletion of resources) but

also because exports of natural resources form

the basis for many economies. How can we make

activities such as mining, petroleum extraction,

fi shing and forestry more environmental-friendly?

Land developmentsustainable development infl uences today's

urban planners. some planners argue that our

modern lifestyle uses up too many natural

resources, pollutes ecosystems, creates urban

heat islands and causes climate change.

Monitoring the impact of our activities is

therefore of the utmost importance.

Food securityMany people seem to think all our food comes

straight from the local supermarket but we are

still fed by Mother earth every day. Population

growth forces agriculture to keep up with the

increasing demand for food. By 2050, over 9

billion people will need to be fed. How are

we going to produce 70% more food with less

agricultural land available?

a good way to get rid of our waste. But lately,

those landfi lls cause severe problems like soil

contamination. What to do with our waste and

waste water? How do we keep the earth clean

and still get rid of waste? Without monitoring

pollution, the waste products from consumption,

heating, agriculture, mining, manufacturing and

transportation, whether they accumulate or

disperse, will degrade the environment.

eijkelkamp sonicsampdrill is the producer of sonic drilling and sampling equipment for use in environmental drilling, mining & mineral exploration, geotechnical sampling & testing and special foundations drilling. sonic drilling is fast, efficient and clean.

eijkelkamp academy is royal eijkelkamp’s centre of expertise. The 3 cornerstones of eijkelkamp academy are Training, Consultancy and applied research. eijkelkamp academy also works closely with Wageningen university, Hogeschool Van Hall Larenstein, iHe-unesCO, CaH Vilentum Hogeschool and iPC groene ruimte.

The eijkelkamp Foundation has at its disposal the knowledge, means and equipment which can help improve soil and water quality for all of us. Our 100 years of specialised knowledge and entrepreneurship is now also benefiting the worldwide community. Based on its integral system approach, richWaterWorld connects local stakeholders and creates opportunities for the energy market and the bio-based economy.

Real-Time-MiningThe overall aim of the Horizon 2020 funded real-Time-Mining project is to develop a real-time framework to decrease environmental impact and increase resource efficiency in the european raw material extraction industry. The project consortium consists of 13 european partners from 5 countries and is led by the resource engineering section of the delft university of Technology.

MARECas individual companies working in the mining sector, iHC Mining, Witteveen+Bos and royal eijkelkamp identified the need for holistic approaches and versatile know-how in mining challenges. The combined expertise covers the entire spectrum of environmental management capacities for safe, responsible and sustainable mining and tailings management.
