My husband , Bruce, and I have been an active part of the Olde Oaks/ Waterford Park community since the birth of our twins in 1987. We have consistently promoted the neighborhood by voluntarily providing our time and financial support to the schools, our church, charitable activities, area youth sports and other community events. Within SISD I have been a substitute teacher, a PTO board member and volunteer for 7 years holding the positions of Treasurer and President of Oak Creek Elementary and Wells Middle School. On the Westfield Athletic Booster Club we were able to fund raise thousands of dollars to purchase equipment and provide many scholarships for students. Professionally, I am a licensed Medical Technologist, attending Centenary College and Louisiana Tech. I worked as a supervisor at Schumpert Hospital for 3 years, and was an instructor in toxicology and hematology. Along with our Neonatal Intensive Care unit, I worked overtime in the NICU at LSU . At Conroe Medical Center I wrote the data base for a Blood Bank computer system and trained personnel at the hospital in it's usage. I understand financial responsibility, having worked in our family business as VP and CFO. I was responsible for overseeing budget, expenditures, payroll and government regulatory requirements. I created procedures to ensure the company provides accurate financial reporting. As the business grew I was able to retire and concentrate on family and community service.

• Former Captain, US Army The Home Owner’s Association should engage members of the community to make better decisions. We have a lot of talent in our subdivision and through the committees we can hear their ideas. By working together we can get more done, do better research, and create real options that will best serve all the residents. We need to safeguard the community’s money better than we do our own. And we need to do so in a way that increases property values, improves security, reduces operating expenses and other positive results. People trust me to act in their best interests. I will not betray that trust. I understand that when it comes to spending money, sometimes the best decision is to do nothing at all. Transparency means letting people see how decisions were made. They may disagree, but they will not say it was a surprise. We trust our fellow residents enough to share information that will affect all of us. Serving on the Board is not about having power for power’s sake. It is about having influence so we can make life better for others. So I will make every effort to engage in good works.

After raising my children, I spent 10 years working with children and their parents as a gymnastic coach in both competitive and recreational activities. In this role, I led monthly meetings for staff and parents, while gaining experience in recruiting and training team players. This experience will enable me to assist the Board in recruiting and organizing residents to lead our community into successful cost effective projects and cost savings. I will assist in reducing and streamlining spending practices. I pledge to work within the budget and reduce discretionary and non-discretionary spending by treating the funds as I would my own and be accountable for my neighbor’s money. I plan to help form committees to engage the community in projects and listen and implement their ideas to help us more effectively achieve a project goal using their expertise, advice and ideas. This will all be done with transparency.

On February 10, 2016 our community will elect three new Directors to the Olde Oaks & Waterford Park Community Improvement Association Board.

Have you heard? There is an unprecedented number of residents attending HOA meetings and expressing their opinions through social media. What are they talking about: the actions of the current 2015 HOA Board. It is your responsibility to elect accountable individuals in 2016 who pledge to create a positive community environment. New Year. New Board. Integrity. Our 2016 OOCIA Board should:

• Ensure ongoing maintenance and beautification of our Olde Oaks and Waterford Park community • Demonstrate fiscal responsibility by working within their approved annual budget • Actively solicit and accept community input while developing discretionary projects • Require that discretionary projects be fully researched, accompanied by a reliable cost analysis, and

disclosed to the community for discussion prior to being voted on • Maintain our current level of security through the Harris County Sheriffs patrol contract • Evaluate the performance of the contracted management company • Maintain sufficient savings for potential emergencies such as hurricane damage, flooding, etc.

GIVING THE BOARD TOTAL CONTROL OF YOUR VOTE

Ballots to vote WILL ONLY BE AVAILABLE at the Annual Meeting. However there is a solution. Sign over your Proxy to a

TRUSTED NEIGHBOR who will attend the meeting to cast your vote. Method 1 VOTE IN PERSON, February 10th at the Annual Members Meeting. Method 2 ASSIGN YOUR PROXY to a trusted neighbor to cast your vote in your absence. Method 3 DON’T DO IT. The majority of the current board wants you to mail in your proxy without giving you a clear choice of candidates. The back of this flyer introduces vetted known candidates who pledge to uphold community values and will use community input. EVERY VOTE COUNTS. It is important that you entrust your proxy to someone who will attend in person to vote for the candidate of your choice. Your proxy is not your ballot. The Ballot is your vote and will only be available at the February 10th meeting.

Please call me if you would like me to represent your proxy or have questions regarding this election: _____________________________________________________________________________
