Our spectacular setting provides the perfect backdrop for corporate events whether you’re entertaining clients or team-building. Our secluded spot, far away from city noise, has a variety of rooms that are well-equipped for both large and small-scale events. After a hard day’s work, you can all step outside and relax in the eight acres of private grounds that surround the Hall.

We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding customer service and strive to deliver a ‘home from home’ atmosphere. This, combined with our delicious and varied catering options, ensure that you and your guests have an enjoyable and memorable experience.

Ellingham Hall is within easy reach of Newcastle city centre and the Scottish Borders and set between the historic towns of Alnwick and Berwick-upon-Tweed, meaning our venue is ideally placed to explore some of the finest heritage sites in the country.

At Ellingham Hall we offer several delegate packages for full day, half day and 24hour usage (see example packages included). Our events team will guide you through our packages and menus, all of which can be modified to suit your budget and requirements.

Meeting Rooms & Break-out SpaceWe have five rooms within the main Hall available for corporate events, with the largest accommodating 140 seated delegates.

We have five rooms within the main Hall available for corporate events. The Entrance Hall and Drawing Room are set for relaxing break-out, whilst the Chapel, Chapel Mezzanine and Dining Room can all be arranged to suit your event requirements. Externally, the Hall offers two terraces which provide additional networking space, and our extensive grounds lend themselves perfectly to a wide range of team-building activities.

Our flexible approach means you can use the main Hall, Chapel, or both to achieve your meeting & event goals.

Chapel Perfect for large events, such as seminars and award dinners, our beautifully converted high-ceilinged historic Chapel is the ideal space to impress. This spacious room incorporates a bar leading out onto an outdoor patio area ideal for networking and break-out.

Chapel Mezzanine Upstairs, the Mezzanine level of the Chapel with its idyllic outdoor roof top terrace, is ideal for smaller sessions, discussions and one to one meetings. This space can also be used as an overspill from the main Chapel below.

Dining Room An elegant room, with high-ceilings, wooden panelling, ornate chandeliers and bursting with natural daylight. Suitable for board meetings, seminars or an intimate dinner.

Entrance HallThe Entrance Hall, just inside the main door features exquisite décor, with a log burning stove as the main focal point. Chesterfield sofas and other lavish soft furnishings provide a comfortable space perfect for arrival drinks and break-out sessions.

Drawing RoomA warm and intimate room, featuring high ceilings and a large bay window with splendid views of the front lawns. The room radiates old-fashioned charm, with its ornate open fire and period décor.

Rooftop TerraceCatch a glimpse of the sea or soak up the sun when relaxing in-between sessions. Enjoy the fresh air and amazing views of the lawns and stream providing a neat, photogenic backdrop.

Chapel Patio TerraceA charming garden setting accessed from the main Chapel or directly off the turning circle where you can dine or sip a well-earned cocktail.

Extensive GroundsAn open expanse of lawn and walled gardens include unique treehouses, red squirrels, peacocks and a stream that runs down into a small peaceful woodland area bursting with wildlife.

BedroomsEach of our eighteen well-appointed bedrooms have their own traditional charm and character, and benefit from modern facilities, bespoke furniture and exquisite décor. towels, robes, hair dryer, toiletries and a room safe are all included as standard.

Our two larger suites offer additional facilities. The Gothic Suite includes a super king-sized bed, a lavish dressing room and roll top bath, whilst the Ellingham Suite includes a super king-sized bed and leads out onto a private decked rooftop terrace with hot tub jacuzzi for ultimate luxury!

CottagesSituated within the grounds are seven spacious self-catering stone cottages where you’ll find a nice welcome basket full of treats awaiting you on arrival.

All cottages are warmed by gas central heating and include a kitchen / diner and sitting area. The fully fitted kitchens are well equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge, freezer and washing machine for the guests’ convenience. The comfortable sitting area includes a fire, TV, Freeview and a DVD player. Upstairs, towels, a hair dryer, toiletries are all on hand and Wi-Fi is free to use. Each cottage has its own garden with seated furniture and a private driveway for parking.

We stayed in cloister cottage, and what a lovely time we had. The staff were very

accommodating, and the resident peacocks and treehouses were brilliant! We enjoyed a tour of the main Hall – it was amazing! An action packed few days - visiting many castles and

having a wonderful time with still so much to explore and visit - we’ll defi nitely be back!”

On-siteAt the end of a busy day, take a trip down into our cellars, where you’ll find a real hidden gem. Our Games Room is a great space equipped with pool table, dartboard, table football, TV and comfortable chill out furniture - perfect to relax and unwind!

We work with multiple trusted entertainment partners to ensure a high-quality guest experience and our events team are on hand every step of the way. For corporate parties and award dinners we can organise various types of entertainment including: Discos, Bands, Vocalists, Fun Casinos, Magicians, Comedians and many more, or you can simply hire the space and co-ordinate the event on your own.

Set in eight stunning acres of lawns and woodland, Ellingham Hall is perfect for team building activities such as giant games, laser clay pigeon shooting, landmark portable golf, and archery. Again, we work closely with reputable suppliers to offer a fun experience or you can bring along a company of your own choosing.

Whatever your requirements, we will work with you to guarantee everything is planned to perfection and runs smoothly on the day.

Off-siteFrom cultural heritage sites celebrating the region’s rich history, to Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Nearby Alnwick, Bamburgh, Dunstanburgh and Warkworth Castles are all within close proximity to the Hall. Other local attractions include Alnwick Gardens, Bailiffegate Museum and Cragside.

Along the coast you will find the pretty seaside town of Seahouses and further south, Embleton Bay is perfect for surfing, walking and picnicking. The Holy Island of Lindisfarne and nearby Farne Islands are both teeming with a wide variety of local wildlife.

Fancy a game of Golf? You are surrounded by some of the most scenic golf courses in the north including Bamburgh, Alnmouth (Foxton) and Goswick to name but a few...

Offsite there are many activity centres offering clay pigeon shooting, climbing, horse riding, coasteering, kayaking, canoeing, and climbing. Spa and leisure facilities are also nearby.
