Governing Bodies and AccreditationsAALA: The Adventure Activities Licensing Service inspects activity centres and other activity providers on behalf of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

ABTA: The Association of British Travel Agents is the UK's premier tradeassociation for tour operators and travel agents. Our ABTA bond guarantees your financial security.

ATOL: ATOL is a protection scheme for flights and air holidays, managed by the CivilAviation Authority (CAA).Our ATOL number is ATOL 5525.

BCU: The British Canoe Union is the governing body for the sport and recreation of canoeing and kayaking in the United Kingdom

BAHA: The British ActivityHoliday Association is thetrade association for privatesector providers of activityholidays and courses with theobjective of ensuring highstandards of safety, instructionand quality of activities.

RYA: The Royal Yachting Association is the governing body for dinghy sailing andwindsurfing in the UK.

STF: The School Travel Forum is a group of leading school tour operators that promotes good practice and safety in school travel.

ROSPA: The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents is actively involved in the promotion of safety and the prevention of accidents in all areas of life. Acorn is a member of RoSPA and our Safety Management System has been developed in conjunction with RoSPA.

IOL: The Institute for Outdoor Learning encourages outdoor learning by developing quality, safety and opportunity to experienceoutdoor activity provision and by supporting and enhancing the good practice of thosewho work in the outdoors.

BSC: The British Safety Council is one of the world’sleading health and safety organisations. Acorn HeadOffice is an approved BSC training centre for Health And Safety at Work and all senior staff have a level onequalification.
