Meditative Art-Journaling®
An Adjunct Prayer Practice and a Way of Contemplative Presence
Marianne Hieb ministers at Lourdes Wellness Center in Collingswood NJ where, vfor the past 30 years, she developed and facilitated the Creativity, Spirituality and Wellness Pro-gram.
She is a spiritual director and retreat facil-itator. Her D.Min in spiritual direction from Graduate Theological Foundation consid-ered the art of spiritual direction as a creative process, a work of art. She studied spiritual direction at Shalem Institute, an ecumenical contemplative program in Washington DC. She is a registered art therapist, with a Mas-ters in Fine Arts in studio art. She is a mem-ber of the Sisters of Mercy, a Roman Catholic community.
Her approach is rooted in the St. Paul’s scrip-tural description, “You are God’s work of art” and of Jesus’ revelation, “I have come that you may have life and have it in abundance.” She enjoys the visual and verbal invitations of many of the Gospel parables of Jesus.
