Intersection of chemistry, pharmacology, and biology involved in the designing, synthesizing and developing pharmaceutical drugs comes under medicinal chemistry. Medicinal chemistry includes the study of identification, synthesis and development of new chemical entities suitable for therapeutic use along with the existing drugs, their biological properties, and their quantitative structure-activity relationships (QSAR).
Medicinal chemistry is an Open Access, peer-reviewed journal which aims to provide the most rapid and reliable source of information on current developments in the field of medicinal chemistry. The emphasis will be on publishing quality papers quickly and freely available to researchers worldwide.
Medicinal chemistry mainly concentrates on the study of identification, synthesis and development of new chemical entities suitable for therapeutic use along with the existing drugs, their biological properties, and their quantitative structure-activity relationships.
