Family counselling is available to support family members (spouses and children who normally reside with you) who are needing extra support during this time. In addition, you may speak to our in house nurses if you need advice, information and support in respect of parents and parents-in- law who may be living with a long term health condition which prevents them from performing normal activities associated with everyday living. Your package provides complementary therapies to help you cope with your journey of cancer and the treatments used for it. Therapies are chosen with the support of your specialist nurses. Fast Track Cover & Care Service In house nurse led service Early intervention service for chronic conditions (at the discretion of SAS) SAS may consider funding operations, wellbeing support or treatment listed if it is deemed in the interest of the insurer to mitigate costs and assists in the early return to work of the employee or prevents an absence from work. The provision of such funding is entirely at the discretion of Schools Advisory Service. Schools have no rights of appeal to the decision made by Schools Advisory Service regarding any medical or well-being services. • Mandy leads a team of NMC registered nurses and BACP registered counsellors.• Nurses are based regionally so they are able to develop ongoing relationships with you and your school.

Nurse Absence Support Service • In house nursing team who contact schools to offer appropriate support services for staff members who are absent.• Developing individual plans of care for you where appropriate.• Developing links and relationships with schools in order to support and provide advice• Sign posting school leaders to obtain further information and advice regarding long-term health conditions

Weight Management with Weight watchers

• Working in partnership with Weight Watchers we are able to offer a package entitling members of staff to 12 weeks of Weight Watchers membership*• You will be expected to attend the full 1 hour meeting each week for the duration of the 12 week programme.

* Access to Weight Watchers is subject to you meeting specific criteria and commitment to losing weight.

Co-ordinated specialist treatment outside the NHS to speed recovery and return to work.

Stress Management Workshops

• A 1 hour Stress Awareness session delivered by one of our NMC registered nurses or a BACP registered counsellor.

• The session will help staff to identify signs of stress in themselves and others and to assist in developing techniques to manage their stress.

Menopause Support• Support is provided for women going through the menopause through our partnership with Simply Hormones founded by Kathryn Colas. Kathryn founded Simply Hormones following 10 years of experiencing symptoms of the menopause that made her everyday life intolerable.• Staff named on the policy have free access to valuable information on the Simply Hormones Website by accessing it through SAS website.
