US District Court outside any state in the Congressionally
designated District of Hawaii, 28 USC 91 and 48 USC 644a
USAV Cr No.
Orian et al
Motion of media to seek clarification of the Courts order in docket
item 283 and the USDOJ posture in docket item 272
The Court in her order does not define live blogging, and the USDOJ
suggests in her statement to the Court, that internet broadcasting
routinely involves transmission of electronic feeds which can be
rendered as sound. Recently when the California Northern District
court reporter Starr Wilson became an acquaintance online, we
learned how they do their profession, and indeed for centuries,
contemporaneous media reports of testimony and proceedings has
been the rule, as a hundred years ago in the Ninth Circuit there
were daily press coverage of testimony the day before, which
witnesses could read, etc. Moreover, live blogging is common at the
Supreme Court of the US where SCOTUSBlog live blogs. But the
Courts order is unclear about what is meant by live blogging, which
could be done by picking up sound in the court and automatically
transcribing it through voice recognition software, so that the
transmission out of the Court is essentially the full transcript of the
proceedings, and it could be rendered by Braille-reader or text to
voice software back into natural like voices, and yet would not
violate the Courts order because no sound was being transmitted
outside the Court. The Court could not forbid electronic soundcapture, as that would mean hearing devices would be illegal,
contrary the ADA and the Courts prior remarks about the Ninth
Circuits judges being even older and how 1.5 space type doesnt
cut it when the rules stipulate double space. Moreover, the folks in
Siam, whose King was born in the USA, will need to translate the
proceedings to Thai and Isaan, etc., while those in China will need
Mandarin, and we on the allied American Formosa trust territory a
number of other languages including Formosan Mandarin. If theCourt will permit remote attendance telephonically from Formosa,

then it would be possible to provide real-time Mandarin for those
class of persons interested on Formosa or in China proper on the
mainland, as well as Thai versions generated variously for
expeditious online dissemination to the American nationals of Thaiorigin in the class protected by the US Attorneys appearing in the
matter under 25 USC 175. We expect Dr. David Sai, Acting Regent
for the occupied Kingdom may arrange for Hawaiian interpreters to
make the proceedings available under 25 USC 2904, 2906 in
Hawaiian for the Hawaiians in their Hawaii, occupied by the US, viz:
US v Fullard-Leo.
If only typing live blogging will be permitted, without software
assistance, obviously that would tend to display judicial bias for the
ambidextrous, contrary to the equality our Courts ought to ensure
left and right handed equally.
Kindly advise, what is live blogging, and may journalists such as
Michael Richardson in Boston, or those of us on the allied American
Formosa trust territory, enjoy the same rights to cover the
proceedings telephonically remotely for live blogging after
translation to Siamese, Isaanese, Formosan Mandarin or other 25
USC 2906 Pacific Island languages.
Respectfully,
