Ergonomist – Occupational psychologist for 13 years, I have long advocated for the use of ergonomic document holders in plexiglass or metal for people working with screens. Over the years, the document holder has indeed become an essential office furniture for a proper organization of the workspace.
Very often set up for people with disabilities, specific budgets and other funds helping, I have frequently encountered the reluctance of employers to equip all employees with a prevention aid, because of the high costs that it represents. Yet
the need is there, and clearly expressed by the employees and the occupational health professionals.
Wishing to bridge the divide between employees, and no longer make having a disability the reason to benefit from
ergonomic equipment, I wanted to shake things up by providing a document holder that is accessible to all and easy to implement.
The idea of using cardboard came to me quite naturally while I was shopping!
WHY NOT USE THIS LIGHTWEIGHT, DURABLE, ECO-FRIENDLY AND PRINTABLE MATERIAL?
After many days (and nights!) spent thinking and testing prototypes, I finally found the design and folding for it on a beautiful Sunday evening in October!
Our first exhibition at the Marseille Congress of Occupational Medicine and Health in June 2018, got us all the votes! Opti-1 made its first
appearance after the patent proceedings began. Opti-1 has been widely acclaimed.
The innovation prize received a few months later at the Preventica Congress of Bordeaux has reached the goal of convincing the prevention specialists, users and buyers.
Opti-1 begins shipping internationally today! The simplest ideas are the ones that work best in prevention: challenge met by Opti-1, which continues to please its users.

USAGE: Document holder for positioning between the keyboard and the computer monitor, enabling users to ergonomically view documents and take notes when working in front of a computer screen. The open section to the front of the document holder enables the keyboard to be hidden (max. height 3cm, max. width 47cm) when taking notes (close position). The open section to the rear of the document holder can also accommodate the bottom of the monitor stand (max. height 2cm). The Opti-1 can bear a weight of up to 10kg.

L ors de la saisie sur ordinateur, les docu-ments papiers sont très souvent position-nés sur le côté. Ce mauvais positionnement
est à l’origine de tensions au niveau du cou, des épaules et du dos et peut entraîner un déséqui-libre postural source de TMS (troubles musculo squelettiques) et de nombreux arrêts de travail en entreprise. Stanislas Daubigny, PDG de la so-ciété Optimeo, entreprise nancéienne spéciali-sée dans la prévention des risques au travail sur écran, a créé un support pour documents qui se place entre le clavier et l’écran. L’idée est simple et fait un carton. Ergothérapeute et psychologue du travail, l’en-trepreneur nancéien est aussi à la tête d’Equatio, un cabinet spécialisé en ergonomie notamment à l’attention des grandes entreprises désireuses de dresser un diagnostic complet des conditions et des postes de travail de ses salariés. Lors de
ses interventions en entreprises, où il passe en revue plus de 42 points listés sur des grilles de prospection, il sensibilise managers et salariés aux risques et règle au cas par cas les situa-tions inadaptées. Cela va d’un simple réglage de fauteuil à la reconfiguration totale d’un bureau. « Parmi les soucis récurrents, celui de la mauvaise position devant son écran surtout lors de saisie de documents m’a amené à imaginer un outil qui per-met de positionner les documents de façon ergo-nomique », explique Stanislas Daubigny. Une planche en carton solide mais légère, pel-liculée et totalement personnalisable, se monte en un rien de temps et devient un support avec la bonne inclinaison pour poser ses documents entre son clavier et l’écran de son ordinateur. Opti-1 (prononcer « Opti One ») vient de rece-voir le prix de l’innovation au salon Preventica à Paris. Depuis, Opti-1 fleurit sur les bureaux des
grandes entreprises partout en France comme Enedis, Vinci, Orange, le CNRS, l’Université de Lorraine, Nantes Métropole, Acoris Mutuelles ou encore BNP Paribas. Le succès est au rendez-vous. « Je suis accom-pagné par la CCI 54. Je bénéficie de conseils pré-cieux, j’ai pu participer aux rencontres consulaires organisées par la Chambre », souligne Stanislas Daubigny. Depuis quelques jours, Optimeo part à la conquête du marché européen, notamment l’Allemagne. Son support Opti-1 vient d’être tra-duit dans la langue de Goethe.
