From an European perspective Africa should be considered a great opportunity and a partner forsustainable growth. With its very dynamic societies and demographics Africa will increasingly become a great market
and will be able , if the right policies are in place, to establish itself as one of the more importantbasis for global growth.Besides trade facilitation and integration, a lot remains to be done , certainly, namely in what
concerns education, the rule of law and infrastructure. In these areas Europe should appear as anatural , effective and reliable partner. This conference will not only discuss the challenges and opportunities of the Euroafrican
partnerships but will try to establish some of the critically important networks for sustainabledevelopment.
