In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

-I chose to create a child’s jazz music magazineThis was hard as there aren’t many children’s music

magazines around-I looked into children’s magazines.

Layouts, fonts and colour schemes-I looked into jazz magazines

What type of photos are on the front cover?-I thought combining children and jazz worked well as they are both crazy, mad and wacky- Typical conventions of a jazz magazine cover I used were the model posing with their instrument- Bright colours, bold fonts and interesting layouts are typical conventions of a child’s magazine

What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

More techniques on Photoshop

Stroke function – to create a border. Used on double page spread

Feather radius on magic wand tool, for cutting out pictures
