Established a road transport service from Brisbane to Doomadgee Mission in remote northern Queensland, changing the lives of the people who lived there. Founder, Container Transfer Equipment Sales Australia, 1980-2000; introducing Sidelifters and revolutionising container handling into Australia and the South Pacific. Funded the development of a sleep alarm system. 35 years’ service with the Grange Lions Club holding various positions. Mentoring and financially assisting struggling transport companies. Founding Chairperson, Snowy Scheme Collection Committee, 2002-2011; raised awareness and obtained approval and funding within government and local councils to establish the Snowy Scheme Museum, Adaminaby; opened in October 2011. Sparked the desire to keep 8 historical items of heavy machinery in Adaminaby for the Museum; required fundraising $40,000 to purchase the items.
