Thomas Bean• Thomas Bean has a JD from Rutgers University, a MS in

Systems Engineering from Cornell University, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering also from Cornell University

• At Corporate Counsel Lucent Technologies, Bean focuses mainly on the legal issues of intellectual properties

• After developing products, Bean realized how many legal issues there are surrounding company practices and stuff of that sort

• In turn, he ended up going back to school to get a law degree so he could better protect his companies ideas
