Length at birth and today

• Subject– The children ask their parents how long they were at

birth– Then they measure how long they are now five years

later.– Then they compare how much longer they are now

• Course– The teachers help the children to measure with tape

measure– Then they make a string of the same length – Then they compare the two strings and store them in

envelopes for later references

At birth most of the children were about 50 – 55 centimetres

How long are the now ?

I’m 116 centimetres high

I am this much longer today

Most of the children are now 60-70 centemetres longer
