arterial blood pressure

1)  A stethoscope is placed o,er the brachial

artery in the elbow while a pressure cuff is

inflated around the upper arm and

connected to a manometer

The pressure of the cuff occludes the blood ,essel.

 When the arterial pressure is greater than the pressure applied by the cuff

6orot-off sounds are created and blood pressure can be measured.
