mentionedinthelikeoftheayah5ofal-Fatihah,whichmeans:WeworshipYou(Allah)andweaskYouforhelpandtheayah3ofaz-Zumar,whichmeans:Thosewhoworshippedtheidolssaid:WedonotworshipthemexcepttoachieveahigherstatusbythemfromAllah.TheibadahinthelanguageoftheArabsiswhatthelinguistsdefined.Thefamouslinguist,Imamaz-Zajjajdefineditbysaying:TheibadahinthelanguageoftheArabsisobediencewithsubjugation.In"Mufradat-ul-Qur'an"theLinguist,ImamAbul-Qasimar-Raghibal-'Asbahanisaid:
Theibadahistheultimatehumbleness.Imam,Hafiz,Faqih,Linguist,andMufassir(ExplaineroftheQur'an)
AliIbnAbd-il-Kafias-Subkiinhistafsir(explanation)ofayah5ofal-Fatihahwhichmeans:We(Muslims)worshipYou(Allah)said:Thatis,wemakeouribadah(worship),whichistheultimatefearwithsubjugation,exclusivetoYou(Allah).Thosepeople(IbnTaymiyyahandhisfollowerswerealsoignorantofthemeaningofthedua'mentionedintheQur'aninmanypositions,liketheayah13ofal-Hajj,whichmeans:Theyperformdua'to(worship)thoseidols,theharmofwhichbybeingworshippediscloserthantheirbenefitbybeingintercessors,ortheayah5ofal-'Ahqaf,
whichmeans:Whoismoreastraythantheonewhoperformsdua'to(worships)otherthanAllah,whowillnotanswerhisdua'.Theythoughtthatthemeaningofdua'inthesetwoayatmeanthemerenida'(calling)anddidnotknowthatitistheibadahwhichistheultimatehumbleness.ThescholarsofTafsirhaveagreedthatthedua'inthoseayatistheiribadah(worship)tootherthanAllahinthismanner.NolinguistorscholarofTafsirexplainedthedua'asthemerecalling.Consequently,thoseignorantpeoplestartedaccusingofkufrwhoeversays:
OMessengerofAllah,orOAbuBakr,orOAli,orOJilani,orthelikeintheabsenceof
thosepeoplewhilealiveoraftertheirdeaththinkingthatthiscallingisanibadahtootherthanAllah.Thisisfarfromwhattheythink.DidthesenotknowthatitisnotpermissibletoexplaintheQur'anandHadithwithwhatdisagreeswiththe(Arabic)language?Whatwouldthesesayaboutwhatal-Bukharirelatedin"al-'Adab-ul-Mufrad"aboutIbnUmarthathislegwasbenumbedseverlyandhewastold:Mentionthenameofthemostbelovedpersontoyou.Thenhesaid(whatmeans):OMuhammad.Theresultwasasifhislegwasuntiedf
